The party assessing a facility or business should not be inside that operation. TÖYAK® provides an assessment separate from the party running the operation and the party providing consultancy.
Ensuring that the party performing the assessment has no conflict of interest with the party running the operation or implementing the improvements.
Whoever assesses a facility or business, that assessment must be impartial. In practice, however, three distinct roles exist, and confusing them undermines the reliability of findings: the party running the operation, the party providing consultancy, and the independent assessor.
The party running the operation is responsible for day-to-day execution. It has a natural bias in assessing its own performance, because the assessment is about its own performance.
The party providing consultancy offers improvement recommendations. However, since it is partly responsible for the outcome of the implementation, its assessment impartiality is debatable.
The independent assessor, by contrast, neither runs the operation nor carries responsibility for implementing improvements. It objectively measures, reports and rates the current state only. Livista360 conducts TÖYAK® assessments according to this principle.
Impartiality of assessment is preserved only through clear separation of roles.
